Work Day On Saturday

Well, this Saturday was what it's all about living close to family. My Granny had a couple of trees come down from the storm a couple weeks ago. We went over and helped my Dad do what he loves to do.... cut up trees. Cody even got to use a chainsaw some too. It was a few hours of hard work, but neat to see the progress and of course, just being around family. My brother came over as well and joined in on the fun, so Dillon had a cousin to play with. Him and Alex always have fun together. I had to get a picture of Brody, my nephew in a new shirt I got him and also a cute baby shot with no shirt on. So, we were actually sore from the work we did, but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We can't forget our lunch either.... it was chicken & dumplings, peas, cornbread and cake for dessert that my Granny fixed. Yummm!!

The Little things in life!

Sometimes I think how blessed I am to live in the time I do as far as appliances go. I'm certainly glad someone invented the washer and dryer you and I have today. So, as I was going to write about this; I thought, well, I'll just "Google" it and see when it came about. So, here ya go.

WHAT A NICE BDAY PRESENT!

In 1874, William Blackstone of Indiana built a birthday present for his wife. It was a machine which removed and washed away dirt from clothes. The first washing machines designed for convenient use in the home.

Mighty Thor
The Thor was the first electric-powered washing machine. Introduced in 1908 by the Hurley Machine Company of Chicago, Illinois, the Thor washing machine was invented Alva J. Fisher. The Thor was a drum type washng machine with a galvanized tub and an electric motor. A patent was issued on August 9th 1910.

You're probably thinking "wow, Stacey has a lot of time on her hands." Somewhat true, but then again, I quite often think about how God has blessed me in all areas of life and how much I take for granted every day!

My Little Fireman

He got this for his birthday. He loves putting out fires.

Dil under table

Yikes, still not up on all this blog stuff!

Well, I just checked it for the first time since I created it. So sorry about that if you made a comment and I didn't comment back (Jean!). I am still looking for a part time job. I applied at another place today. We are still searching for the church God has picked for us also. So, please pray for that with us.
Dillon is liking school. He never wants to go when he gets up, but has a great time by the end of the day. He is maturing so much in certain areas of his life. It's crazy how fast it goes. We often think about how blessed we are to have him in our lives.
We haven't taken many pictures lately, but Saturday when the electricity was out I got a good one of Dillon. He was under our end table in the living room asleep holding a flashlight.
